How it works

Without a solid ground to the engine and its high-output electrical parts, some voltage is lost in poor earth paths. The D1 Ground Wire Kit 8mm adds direct earth runs from a central point to the transmission, engine block, alternator and ignition system, as well as other important grounds in the engine bay. A constant ground helps stabilise the voltage those components receive.

What it can help

The kit is designed for better low and mid-range torque, sharper engine response, brighter headlights and better bass from the audio system. Results depend on the condition of the original earth straps.

Fitting

Disconnect the battery first. Clean each contact point back to bare metal, use the five cables (40, 50, 60, 80 and 100cm) for the shortest neat runs, keep them away from the exhaust and moving parts, and tighten every terminal firmly. Reconnect the battery and check everything works.

The D1 Ground Wire Kit 8mm is universal and suits most cars. Old, corroded factory earth straps are worth replacing at the same time.
