Why use one

Most aftermarket water temperature gauges need their own sensor, and finding a spare port on the engine is not always easy. The D1 Water Temp Adapter 26mm solves this by cutting into the radiator hose, so the sensor reads the coolant temperature without drilling or replacing a thermostat housing.

Fitting

Let the engine cool fully and drain some coolant first. Choose a straight section of the hose, cut it, push both ends over the D1 Water Temp Adapter 26mm and secure them with hose clips. Fit the gauge sensor into the port with a suitable thread sealant, refill and bleed the cooling system, then check for leaks once it reaches temperature.
