QSP Quick Release Formula (Universal)

Description

This QSP formula quick release lets you take off a steering wheel that has 3 holes on a 50 mm pitch circle. It is made by QSP Products, the Dutch motorsport parts brand, and is fitted by welding it to the steering column.

Which wheels does it take?

The wheel side has a 3-hole flange, so it is for steering wheels with 3 bolts on a 50 mm circle. Most sports steering wheels, including QSP’s own 350 mm wheels, use 6 bolts on a 70 mm circle instead and will not bolt straight on. For a 6-hole wheel, the weld-on QSP touring quick release takes the wheel directly, and the QSP hex quick release is another weld-on type.

Fitting

The weld part, about 16 mm across, is welded to the steering column and the wheel bolts to the other half, as the photo shows. Because of the welding, the QSP formula quick release is a part for competition cars, and the welding should only be done by someone qualified to work on steering parts. Check your column and your wheel’s hole pattern before ordering.
