Description

This QSP quick release ball type is the street version of the steering wheel quick release from QSP Products, the Dutch motorsport parts brand. It lets you take the steering wheel off in seconds and put it back on when you return to the car.

How it works

QSP uses balls in the locking mechanism to give play-free operation. To remove the wheel, press the release button and pull the ring towards you; to refit it, push the wheel back on until it locks. There is nothing to unscrew each time you take the wheel away. Because the unit is 63 mm tall, it moves the wheel 63 mm closer to you, so take that into account along with the dish of your wheel.

What you need

The QSP quick release ball type sits on top of a steering wheel hub (boss kit) made for your car, and your sports steering wheel bolts onto it. QSP’s 350 mm wheels use a 6-bolt, 70 mm pattern, for example the QSP suede steering wheel 90mm and the QSP leather steering wheel 70mm.
