The Motul Motylgear 75W80 oil is for all mechanical transmissions, synchronised or not, gearbox/differential units and transfer gearboxes without limited slip, operating under shocks and heavy loads or moderate loads at high speed.
Performance
Very high lubricating power decreases friction and wear. The SAE 80 grade when hot reduces gearbox drag and fuel consumption, and the Motul Motylgear 75W80 oil stays fluid at low temperature.
Shift feel
With the Motul Motylgear 75W80 oil, gear shifts are easier when the gearbox is cold, with less effort needed on the gear lever.
Protection
This is an extreme pressure lubricant with anti-corrosion and anti-foam properties. It suits any type of seal and yellow metal used in gearbox design.
Drain the old oil warm, refit the drain plug with a new washer where needed, and fill to the level plug or the capacity your vehicle maker gives. Use the grade and GL rating your gearbox or differential calls for. Check the old oil as it drains: metal particles or a burnt smell can point to wear worth investigating.
