The Motul Gear Competition 75W140 oil is for hypoid differentials with limited slip, gearboxes with an integrated limited slip differential, mechanical and transfer gearboxes, synchronised or not, operating under shocks and heavy loads at low speed or moderate loads at high speed.

Performance

The Motul Gear Competition 75W140 oil has 0% shear loss, giving an unshearable oil film in extreme conditions, and very high lubricating power that decreases friction and wear. The 140 grade gives outstanding film strength when hot and can reduce transmission noise.

Cold shifting

Even with its heavy hot grade, the Motul Gear Competition 75W140 oil stays fluid at low temperature for comfortable gear shifting.

Shear stability

The Motul Gear Competition 75W140 oil keeps 0% shear loss, giving an unshearable oil film in extreme conditions. Its very high lubricating power reduces friction and wear and lowers the effort on the gear lever even when cold, and it suits any type of seal and yellow metal used in gearbox design.

Drain the old oil warm, refit the drain plug with a new washer where needed, and fill to the level plug or the capacity your vehicle maker gives. Use the grade and GL rating your gearbox or differential calls for. Check the old oil as it drains: metal particles or a burnt smell can point to wear worth investigating.
