The D1 Carbon Catch Tank 15mm is a universal D1 Spec carbon fibre oil catch tank with a 480cc capacity and 15mm tube connectors. It catches the oil and moisture carried in the blow-by gas before it reaches the intake.

What it does

Engines build up an oil and sludge mixture inside the intake tract because of crankcase pressure and incomplete combustion. Oil in the intake is normal, but over time it leaves carbon deposits that can reduce engine performance. A catch tank holds this oily by-product instead of letting it be drawn back in, which helps keep the intake, valve train and sensors cleaner, even under hard driving.

The D1 Carbon Catch Tank 15mm sits in line with the crankcase breather. The real carbon fibre body also adds a clean look to the engine bay. The visible level indicator shows when it needs emptying.

Fitting and care

The D1 Carbon Catch Tank 15mm comes with hoses, clamps and a mounting bracket. Choose a mounting point away from the exhaust and turbo, keep the hose runs short and free of kinks, and check the clamps after the first drive. The base unscrews and there is no filter inside, so emptying and cleaning take only a few minutes.
