Fitting

Main studs are fitted with the engine apart. Clean the block threads, fit the ARP B16A Main Studs studs finger tight, fit the caps, and torque the nuts in steps using ARP Ultra-Torque lubricant as the kit instructions describe. Check the main bearing clearances after fitting, as the clamp load can differ from the factory bolts.

This main stud kit is often fitted alongside ARP head studs and rod bolts when building a strong bottom end.
