Design

The ARP B Series Flywheel Bolts bolts have a flat 12-point head and a larger than stock shank diameter, which adds strength and improves flywheel register. ARP rates its Pro Series flywheel bolts at 190,000 psi and its High Performance Series at 180,000 psi.

Fitting

Clean the crank threads, fit the ARP B Series Flywheel Bolts bolts with a thread locker or lubricant as the kit instructions describe, and torque them in a cross pattern to the specified figure. They are best fitted at the same time as a new clutch or lightweight flywheel.

Never reuse stretched or damaged flywheel bolts. If the flywheel has been resurfaced or swapped for a lightweight item, check that the bolt length still suits it and that the threads engage fully in the crankshaft.
