Using it

Sand and degrease the area before applying the VHT Self Etching Primer. Spray in a well ventilated area, away from heat and naked flames, at a temperature the can recommends. Shake the can well before and during use, and apply several light coats rather than one heavy one.

Why etch primer

Bare aluminium and stainless steel are hard for normal primer to grip. An etch primer bites into the surface so the paint above does not lift or flake.
