What it does

The NTK 24282 Lambda measures oxygen in the exhaust and sends the reading to the ECU, which trims fuelling to keep the mixture correct for emissions and economy.

Design

The NTK 24282 Lambda has an 18mm thread and 22mm hex, with the OE type connector and attaching hardware for a plug in fit. A heated sensor reaches working temperature quickly after a cold start, so the ECU can move into closed loop fuel control sooner. The dual coated platinum element gives long life and a quick response.

Signs of a worn sensor

A tired sensor can respond slowly, which can show as poor fuel consumption, rough idle or a fault code. Fitting a new NTK 24282 Lambda restores a correct reading to the ECU.
