Material
The Edelbrock B16 Intake Gasket uses Edelbrock MP-2N Micropore technology, a synthetic fibre composite made without solvents. It is impervious to most chemicals and has a high recovery under load, so when compressed it conforms to imperfections in the sealing surface even at lower flange pressures.
Port sealing
A nitrile bead around each port opening makes the Edelbrock B16 Intake Gasket seal even better, and the ports are matched to Edelbrock manifolds and cylinder heads for good flow.
Fitting
Clean all mating surfaces, stuffing paper towels into the open intake ports first so no debris enters the engine. Fit the Edelbrock B16 Intake Gasket and torque all intake manifold bolts to 17 ft-lb, following the sequence on the Edelbrock instruction sheet.
Always fit a new intake gasket when the manifold comes off, or when fitting an aftermarket manifold or throttle body.
