Conical wheel screw kit SWS-100GN from NRG Innovations: a set of conical head screws made for NRG steering wheels, finished in green. It can be used with a horn button or a horn delete plate, and is supplied as a pack of 6 screws with 1 Allen key.

Use this conical wheel screw kit to replace the screws on your NRG steering wheel with a green finish, whether you run a horn button or a horn delete plate. NRG offers the screw kit in several colours so you can match or contrast with the rest of your set-up.

Choosing and fitting the conical wheel screw kit

To fit the conical wheel screw kit, remove the existing screws from your NRG steering wheel one at a time using the supplied Allen key, and fit each new screw before moving to the next so the horn button or horn delete plate stays aligned. Tighten them evenly in a cross pattern and avoid overtightening, as the screws thread into aluminium. Choose the colour of the conical wheel screw kit to match or contrast with your wheel, quick release or interior trim.

Upgraded screws are a simple way to personalise a steering wheel without changing the wheel itself. Before you start, make sure the vehicle is parked safely and the wheel is straight, and keep the original screws in case you want to return the wheel to standard later. Work on one screw at a time rather than removing them all at once, as this keeps the horn button, horn delete or centre trim located while you work. If a screw feels tight when starting, back it out and restart it square to the thread rather than forcing it. Once all screws are fitted, check each one again for even tightness and confirm the horn still works, where fitted.
