The EBC Ultimax Evo Rear Discs are EBC USR sport slotted discs, part number USR996, for the rear of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI to IX with 300x22mm rear discs. USR is the EBC premium, silent street range for fast road use.

Why slotted

The narrow multi slot design and the progressive angle of the slots make the EBC Ultimax Evo Rear Discs a quiet sport disc that still removes gas, dirt, water and debris from the pad face. EBC points out that the biggest gain from slots is flat, parallel pad wear, which keeps braking consistent and stops ridges forming on the pads and discs.

Quality

EBC sport discs are made from R90 approved G3000 grey iron blanks and machined in house. They come with a corrosion resistant finish, which wears off the braking surface after a short time in use.

Fitting

Clean the hub face fully so the EBC Ultimax Evo Rear Discs sit flat, as rust on the hub causes runout and vibration. Fit new pads at the same time and bed them in gently. EBC Yellowstuff, Redstuff and Greenstuff pads all suit these discs.
