The DNJ K20 Valve Cover Gasket is made by DNJ Engine Components. DNJ valve cover sets use materials chosen for oil resistance and temperature tolerance, such as moulded rubber and silicone rubber, and are tested against heat cycling, engine vibration and oil saturation.

Fitting

To fit the DNJ K20 Valve Cover Gasket: Clean the valve cover groove and the head surface, fit the new gasket into the groove and replace the grommets under the cover bolts. Where the head has half-moon cut-outs or sharp corners, a small dab of sealant at those points helps. Tighten the cover bolts evenly and only to the specified torque; over-tightening squashes the gasket and causes leaks.

Good to know

An oil-soaked spark plug well or oil on the exhaust side of the head is a common sign the valve cover gasket or plug tube seals need replacing. Compare the new part with the old one before fitting to confirm it matches.
