What it does
An adjustable fuel pressure regulator has to be connected to the fuel rail, and every manufacturer uses a different rail and fitting. The D1 FPR Adapter Mitsubishi provides the connection for Mitsubishi rails, so the regulator can be fitted without modifying the rail.
Using it with the regulator
Pair the D1 FPR Adapter Mitsubishi with the D1 Spec fuel pressure regulator, which is adjustable from 2 to 8 bar and comes with a fuel pressure gauge, two hose connectors and instructions. Together they let you set the fuel pressure to suit your engine and injectors.
Fitting
Work on fuel systems only with the engine cold, the battery disconnected and the fuel pressure relieved first, in a well-ventilated area away from sparks. Use new seals, tighten the fittings carefully and check for leaks with the engine running before driving. Changes to fuel pressure affect the air-fuel mixture, so have the engine checked or mapped after adjusting it.
