Building a K20 or K24 bottom end? The ACL Bearing Set Honda K20 K24 page puts the three ACL parts you need on one listing. Choose the Race Series rod bearings, the main bearings or the thrust washers from the dropdown, and order as many as your build needs. These are the same part numbers ACL specifies for the K20A2 and K20Z1 and for the K24A and K24Z1 family, so this is the quickest way to bearing up a K-swap or a fresh rebuild.

• Conrod bearing – standard crank: ACL 4B1972H-STD, 8 shells for 4 rods. Crank pin 47.98–48.00mm.
• Main bearing – standard size: ACL 5M1959H-STD, 10 shells for the full crank. Journal 54.98–55.00mm.
• Thrust washer set – standard crank: ACL 1T1957-STD, 2 halves for one engine.

Every option is the standard (STD) size for a crank that hasn’t been reground. ACL also makes HX (+0.025mm clearance), 0.025mm and 0.25mm versions. Contact us if your machinist needs a different size.

ACL Race Series technology

• Tri-metal design: a high-tensile steel back, a copper-lead-tin lining, a nickel barrier and a lead-tin-copper overlay. The overlay is thinner on the rod shells for better fatigue strength.
• Hardened steel backs on the rod bearings, and increased crush for retention and heat transfer.
• Increased eccentricity to cope with bore distortion at high rpm.
• Grooved main bearings: fully grooved uppers with partial-groove lowers, to keep oil flowing to the big ends.
• No flash plating. This gives better housing contact. The dark colour of new shells is normal.
• Enlarged ID chamfers for performance cranks with large fillet radii.

K20A3 owners: the main bearings and thrust washers here fit, but the K20A3 takes a different rod bearing (ACL 4B1906H). K20C1 owners: the rod bearings and thrust washers fit, but the K20C1 uses its own main set (ACL 5M1985H). Ask us about either.
