The Street Basis MX5 kit is from the Tein Street Basis Z range. The top of each shell pipe is narrowed, oil and gas are injected, and the unit is sealed by crimping the metal, which shortens production and keeps the price down. The twin-tube design gives a longer stroke with a smaller repulsive force than a regular mono-tube damper, so the car rides gaps and bumps steadily, with a smooth ride at low speed and stability at high speed.
