Will the PM-302 GTI Exhaust Tip fit my car?

How to measure for an exhaust tip

Measure the outside diameter of the tailpipe where the tip will sit, using a vernier caliper or a tape wrapped around the pipe. If you use a tape, divide the circumference by 3.14 to get the diameter.

The inlet of the tip needs to match or be slightly larger than the tailpipe so it can be clamped or welded securely. Then measure the space between the tailpipe and the bumper or valance opening. This tells you how large the outlet can be and how far the tip can stick out.

Choosing a style

Straight-cut tips sit square to the bumper for a clean look, while slant-cut tips are angled for a sportier profile. Pick the one that best matches the lines of your rear bumper.

Clamp-on or weld-on fitting

Clamp-on tips slide over the tailpipe and are held with a clamp or bolts, so they can be fitted without welding and removed later if needed.

Whichever method you use, make sure the tip is lined up square with the bumper and does not touch the bodywork. The exhaust moves on its rubber mounts when the engine is running.
