What a Brake Pads Front does

Brake pads are the friction part of a disc brake. The pad compound decides how the pad bites, how it behaves across a range of temperatures and how quickly it and the disc wear, so match the compound to the way the car is used.

The Ferodo FER-FCP1444H is listed under part number FER-FCP1444H. Part numbers are the most reliable way to match a replacement, because two parts that look alike can differ in size, connection or mounting. If you have the old part in your hand, compare its markings with the FER-FCP1444H code, and compare the photos on this page with what is on your car.

Choosing the right Brake Pads Front

Start with the Fitments tab on this page. It lists the makes, models and years that the Ferodo FER-FCP1444H is matched to on the MCG Autostyling system. Vehicle specifications can change by market, model year, engine code, body style and trim level, so a car that looks the same from the outside may still need a different part. Check your engine code and chassis code as well as the model name.

If your car has been modified, or has had parts swapped from another model, the part you need may not be the one the factory fitted. In that case, compare the Brake Pads Front you are removing with the details and photos on this page before you order. If you are still unsure, contact MCG Autostyling with your vehicle details and registration, and the team can check the Ferodo FER-FCP1444H against your car.

Fitting the Ferodo FER-FCP1444H

Pads should be fitted in axle sets so both sides of the car brake evenly. Check the discs for minimum thickness and run-out, clean and lightly grease the slide points with a suitable brake grease, and bed the new Brake Pads Front in as the pad maker describes before the car is used hard.

Work on a level surface with the car safely supported, and use the correct tools and torque settings for your vehicle. Follow any instructions supplied with the Ferodo FER-FCP1444H. If you are not confident doing the work yourself, have the part fitted by a qualified mechanic or fitter. When the part arrives, check it against this listing before you start work, and keep the packaging until you are happy that everything is correct.
