Fitting

To fit the DNJ B Series Oil Pump: The oil pump on these engines sits on the front of the crank behind the timing belt, so it is normally changed with the timing belt. Fit a new pump gasket or O-ring, align the drive with the crankshaft and tighten the bolts evenly. Prime the system before the first start and check for oil pressure straight away.

Good to know

A worn oil pump can cause low oil pressure and noisy hydraulic parts, so it is worth replacing during an engine rebuild. Compare the new part with the old one before fitting to confirm it matches.
