How the Civic CRX 87-93 CAI Polished works

US-Racing says the mandrel bent intake piping, with a constant radius, replaces the stock moulded rubber intake system to maximise airflow through the throttle body, for better throttle response. A cold air intake uses a long pipe and a low filter, so instead of drawing in air that has heated up in the engine bay, it draws air from near the ground and brings it up to the engine while it is still cool. Cooler air is denser, giving a higher oxygen content in the mixture.

The kit comes with all mounting material and the filter, so the Civic CRX 87-93 CAI Polished is ready to fit as supplied. US-Racing offers this intake in polished silver, powdercoated black or powdercoated red, so you can match it to the rest of your engine bay.
