What a Radiator does

The cooling system keeps the engine at a steady working temperature. The Radiator has to match the connections, mounting points and size of the original part, so compare it with the part you are removing.

The Ashuki H554-01 is listed under part number H554-01. Part numbers are the most reliable way to match a replacement, because two parts that look alike can differ in size, connection or mounting. If you have the old part in your hand, compare its markings with the H554-01 code, and compare the photos on this page with what is on your car.

Choosing the right Radiator

Start with the vehicle. The Ashuki H554-01 fits Honda CRX ED (1983-1993) and Honda Civic EF/EF9 (1988-1992). Vehicle specifications can change by market, model year, engine code, body style and trim level, so a car that looks the same from the outside may still need a different part. Check your engine code and chassis code as well as the model name.

If your car has been modified, or has had parts swapped from another model, the part you need may not be the one the factory fitted. In that case, compare the Radiator you are removing with the details and photos on this page before you order. If you are still unsure, contact MCG Autostyling with your vehicle details and registration, and the team can check the Ashuki H554-01 against your car.

Fitting the Ashuki H554-01

After any cooling system work, refill with the correct coolant mix, bleed out trapped air as the vehicle maker describes, and check for leaks once the engine has warmed up. Never open a hot cooling system.

Work on a level surface with the car safely supported, and use the correct tools and torque settings for your vehicle. Follow any instructions supplied with the Ashuki H554-01. If you are not confident doing the work yourself, have the part fitted by a qualified mechanic or fitter. When the part arrives, check it against this listing before you start work, and keep the packaging until you are happy that everything is correct.
