What it does

It is an ideal replacement for a damaged original arm, and it also gives about 1 inch of set-back (wheelbase) adjustment in either direction. That adjustment is needed to correct the set-back changes that adjustable camber and toe arms create when camber and toe are set beyond about 1 degree.

Set-back is the fore and aft position of the rear wheel. When you change rear camber or toe a long way from standard, the wheel can move forward or back slightly, and an adjustable trailing arm lets you bring it back to the correct position so the car tracks straight.
