SRS O2 Sensor Hole Weld Nut (Universal)

Description

This o2 sensor bung is the genuine SRS 16 mm weld-in lambda nut for custom exhaust work. SKU NUT-O2. Tack it to a downpipe, cat, or mid-section when you need a sensor boss, or weld it in and blank it with the matching SRS bolt if the hole is unused.

O2 sensor bung specs

Thread is 16 mm. Degrease the pipe, open a hole that matches the bung, and weld around the boss so the joint is gas-tight. Let it cool before you fit a sensor or a blanking bolt. An o2 sensor bung that is welded proud or oval will leak and can damage the sensor body, so keep the face square to the pipe.

This part is listed as universal fabrication hardware. Measure the thread against your lambda sensor before you weld. Do not guess vehicle years and do not change the published Fitments tab. Stock, price, and SKU stay as published. Stainless weld practice still applies: clean metal, full fusion around the boss, and a leak check after the first heat cycle. If you are blanking the hole, thread the bolt in with a smear of anti-seize so you can remove it later without rounding the hex.

Keep a spare o2 sensor bung in the fab kit for test pipes and decat sections. It is a small part, but a leaking boss will throw a light and fail a smoke test. Replace a bung that has been overheated or cross-threaded rather than chasing the thread in the car.
