Fitting

To fit the DNJ Prelude Sump Gasket: Drain the oil, remove the sump and clean both faces fully of old gasket and sealant. Fit the new gasket, using a small amount of sealant at the joints where the block meets the oil pump and rear seal housing. Tighten the sump bolts evenly from the centre outwards to the specified torque, then refill with fresh oil.

Good to know

Fitting a new sump gasket is a good time to check the oil pick-up screen and to change the oil and filter. Compare the new part with the old one before fitting to confirm it matches.
