This boss can be used to replace lost bosses on both our airbox and a Gruppe-M airbox found on Civic Type R and Integra Type R.
An airbox breather pipe vents pressurized gases and oil vapor from an engine’s crankcase into the airbox or intake system to be burned, preventing pressure buildup that would cause oil leaks, reduce engine performance, and form harmful sludge. This hose allows the engine’s internal components to seal tighter, improving compression and power by reducing the amount of air “whipped” by the crankshaft and pistons that could otherwise escape past piston rings
