Damping and springs

The Silvers Super Low Golf 5 kit uses a mono-tube shock design with a 44mm linear characteristic piston and IP F.A. 5W damper oil, adjustable through 24 levels. The springs are cold-bent from high strength SAE9252 steel. On the Silvers Super Low Golf 5 kit, shorter shocks, springs and lower brackets combine for a super low stance.

Height adjustment

The Silvers Super Low Golf 5 coilovers are fully height adjustable via the lower bracket, so ride height changes without moving the spring perch or giving up shock travel. Loosen the lower locking ring and rotate the coilover to set ride height, or to adjust weight distribution for corner balancing on track.

Construction

The shock bodies of the Silvers Super Low Golf 5 kit are made from JIS G3445-STKM13C carbon steel, 52mm seamless tube, and every shock is hand assembled and dyno tested so damping and compression valving are within 5% side to side. Hardened, chrome plated steel shafts resist bending under heavy loads, and the powder painted steel lower brackets take the factory brake line and ABS line holders.

Locking collars

The lower spring perches have dimples instead of slots, so the spanner does not slip when adjusting preload. That makes setting up the coilovers quicker and easier.

Have coilovers fitted by a competent suspension specialist, and get a full wheel alignment after setting the ride height. Check the locking rings and top mount nuts again after the first few drives, and keep the threads clean.
