Mugen – M20 Carbon Airbox Honda Civic Type-R FN2 07-11

Note: Must be used with RRC intake manifold and RRC intake pipe (sold separately).

This air intake box is designed to replace the standard equipment. When installed, it optimizes the intake layout to lower the intake air temperature, allowing for denser air intake and resulting in higher engine output. Additionally, the redesigned shape of the air box and improved filter material significantly reduce intake resistance. The air filter can be cleaned using the separately sold filter maintenance kit, allowing for repeated use over time.

M-TEC Company, Ltd., doing business as Mugen Motorsports (無限), is a Japanese company formed in 1973 by Hirotoshi Honda, the son of Honda Motor Company founder Soichiro Honda, and Masao Kimura.

Mugen, meaning “without limit“, “unlimited” or “vast“, (hence the commonly placed word “power” after, denoting “unlimited power“) is an engine tuner and parts manufacturer that manufactures OEM parts such as body kits and sports exhausts for Honda.

Despite the family relationship, Mugen is not and has never been owned by Honda Motor Company; however, Mugen owner Hirotoshi Honda has been the biggest shareholder in Honda since his father’s death in 1991.
