TEGIWA – Honda Integra Parcel Shelf Type-R DC5 ( 2001-2005 )
A car parcel shelf is a removable, usually retractable, shelf located in the back of a car, behind the rear seats and above the trunk or boot. Its primary functions are to provide a surface for storing small items and to hide the contents of the trunk from view, which can help prevent theft.
Storage: It can be used to store small items like groceries, bags, or accessories.
Security: It acts as a cover to keep the contents of the trunk out of sight.
Removability: It can usually be removed to create more space for larger items or to fold the rear seats down.
Safety: While it covers items, it is crucial not to place anything on the shelf that could become a projectile during sudden braking or a collision. It is generally not strong enough to serve as a safety barrier in an accident.
