TEGIWA – Honda Integra / Civic Drop Link Replacement RARB ( Civic EP3 / Integra DC5 )
These drop links are sold singularly and fit both left and right.
A drop link, also known as an anti-roll bar link, connects the anti-roll bar to the suspension to reduce body roll during cornering. It transmits the torsional forces of the anti-roll bar to the suspension, helping to keep the car more stable and level.
Function: Drop links act as a conduit for forces between the anti-roll bar and the suspension (like the control arm or strut). When a car turns, one side of the suspension compresses more than the other. This twisting force is transferred through the drop links, which twist the anti-roll bar to resist this compression and help level the vehicle.
How they work: They are typically a rod with a ball joint or bushing on each end. When one wheel goes over a bump or through a corner, the anti-roll bar twists and the force is transmitted through the drop links to the suspension components on the opposite side.
Failure: Drop links can wear out over time, especially when exposed to harsh road conditions or if a car is lowered, which can cause them to sit at an angle.
Symptoms of failure: Worn-out drop links can cause a knocking or rattling noise, particularly when turning, and can lead to poor handling or a rough ride.
